This postcard was sent by JW Reeder, soon after he purchased the partnership business Eubanks & Reeder -- a business which sold general merchandise, which included funeral goods such as caskets.

The card was sent from St. Louis, where Reeder went via train to market for his retail business each year.

The 1909 date on the card establishes the year in which he started his new business, which carries on as a funeral home today -- 101 years later.
