Jeffrey Lynn Allison
LINDEN— Jeffrey Lynn Allison, 67, of Carthage, Texas, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2010 at his home. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Center Grove Cemetery, Linden, with Bro. Mike Taylor officiating. A visitation will be Friday evening from 5 to 7 at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home, Inc., in Linden.
He was born October 2, 1942, in Brawley, California to Rev H. E. “Bud” Allison and Ora Hamilton Allison. He was a deputy sheriff for Cass County, a security guard for Thiokol Chemical Co., a member of First Baptist Church of Clayton, Texas, and was a U.S. Army vet serving in the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his loving wife, Rosalee Jackson Allison of Carthage; three daughters, Christy Truesdale of Carthage, Jennifer Downing and husband, Hiram, of Gary, Texas, and Ember Allison of Carthage; three grandchildren, Robert and Brooke Austin, and Heather Downing; plus a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, R. E. “Al” Allison.
