Bryson was born on August 2, 2006, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, to Britiny Penny Morgan and Stephen Belk. He passed away on June 10, 2026, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.
Bryson Belk was raised in Hughes Springs, Texas, where his first love was Jesus, and baseball was a part of him from the very beginning. His faith was the foundation of who he was, guiding the way he loved others, encouraged those around him, and showed up for his community. From his early days as a Little League player with the Hughes Springs Youth Sports Association, to his time as an umpire, and most recently as a coach for a 12U baseball team, Bryson remained connected to the game and the community that helped shape him. To the kids he coached, he was more than a leader on the field; he was someone who understood where they were, believed in them, and showed up with the same steady encouragement that had once been given to him.
Bryson was preceded in death by his grandfather, Harold Penny; and his aunt, Kathey Sharp. He is survived by his parents: Britiny and Jason Morgan, Stephen and Tiffany Belk; brothers: Laiken Baxter, Dalton Morgan (Kelsi), Derek Strickland (Meredith), Eli Wilson; sisters: Brelee Morgan, and Cadence Belk; grandmothers: Angie Penny, and Anna Henderson; grandfather, Tim Belk and wife Tonya; uncles: Cody Penny, Lorne Adams (Ashton), Robbie Belk (Caitlyn), Zach Belk, Brent Morgan (Christie), Scotty Morgan, Colby Stambaugh; aunts: Kayla Crawford (Wes), Heather Penny, Tera Tingle; niece, Huntli Morgan; several cousins, friends, and family members.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bryson Belk Memorial Scholarship c/o First National Bank in Hughes Springs, P.O. Box 188 Hughes Springs, Texas 75656.
Though Bryson’s last inning came far too soon, his legacy will keep playing on in every young player he encouraged, every life he touched, and every field where his memory will always feel close to home.
