Charline “Foxy Brown” Walton was born on July 14, 1949, in Atlanta, Texas, to Moses Hudson, Sr. and Daisy Mae Hudson. She passed away on August 5, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

Charline graduated from Atlanta High School in 1967. Known for her singing and dancing, she became affectionately known as “Foxy Brown,” the dancing Hudson sister.

She married Jessie Johnson, and two children were born to their union. She later married Dennis Walton, and they welcomed one child together.

While living in Hughes Springs during the 1980s, Charline began attending Love Chapel with her children. She later united with Greater Love Baptist Church.

Charline was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Moses Hudson, Jr. and Nathaniel Hudson; her sister, Bertha “Tesa”; her granddaughter, Rosalind; and her niece, Michelle.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Dennis Walton; her children, Charles (Evette), JacKie (Jermone), and Vertis (Rose); her stepchildren, DeDe, Lolli, Cody, Delicia, Rulandra, Kyle, and Dakota; her grandchildren, Robert (Kandi), Justin (Jancie), Jessica, Kelvin, DeAndre, DeAngelo (Siera), Sabin (Bri), Sekyah (Jaharious), Kaellum, Briana, Verity, Makesha (Jay), and Tony, Jr.; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her siblings, Merline, Brenda, Thelma, Mae, Sherry (Ira), Danny, and Harold (Sherry); two uncles, Tommy (Mozelle) and Robert “R.S.” Thomas; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Charline was blessed with many special friendships, including Gloria Curry-Brown, her dear friend of more than 50 years; Dale, her bonus son; Sherilyn, her bonus daughter; Shaw’nteria, the niece she named; Dennis, her “crumbling”; and, last but certainly not least, Shernecia, her “high rider.” She loved each of you so much.

One thing Charline always wanted people to know was: “I’m not mean; I just mean what I say.” ~Foxy Brown
