Funeral services for Ms. Debra “De-De” Durden, 61, of Lone Star, Texas, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Jefferson Junior High School Auditorium, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.  Burial will follow at Mt. Debra “DD” Durden was born on May 25, 1965, to the late Juestene Neal. Debra was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, as well as a beautiful soul whose presence touched the lives of many.

Debra was united in marriage to Brodrick Durden. She was a devoted mother to her children, Rodrick Hopkins, who preceded her in death; Charles Brewer; Amber Hopkins; and Sheravon Hopkins. Her greatest joy was her family, and she cherished the special bond she shared with her children and grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memory her grandchildren, Dakenndi Williams, Jeremiah Brewer, Summer Brewer, Jasmine Brewer, Khylar Black, and Khy Brewer, who will forever carry her love and precious memories in their hearts.

Debra also leaves to cherish her memory her siblings, Fredrick (Larissa) Hopkins, Tameka Hopkins, Laquita Hopkins, Robert Neal, Tina Neal, Lasonya Neal, and Nikisha Neal, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She held a special place in her heart for her dear friends, Patsy Black-Hill, Shemetria Jackson, and Louise Hopkins, whose love and friendship meant so much to her.

Debra’s memory will live on through every life she touched, every smile she shared, every lesson she taught, and every moment her family and friends were blessed to spend with her. Though she is no longer with us physically, her love, laughter, strength, and legacy will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

She fought a good fight, she finished her course, and she kept the faith. Her earthly journey is complete, but her love will live on forever.
