As a kid as soon as we made it to Mudeas house from Cali, I would look for Pig! I would ball up my fist and say….”Aint Nobody Scared Of You Pig” He would stare me down and then suddenly stomp one foot! I would run so fast and scream; He would say “Now Who’s Scared”😅 I’ll miss you cousin‼️🥲💔🙏🏾🪽

Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery. Mr. Chisom will be available for viewing from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday.
Gerald Wayne Chisom was born on August 16, 1956, in Naples, Morris County, Texas, to R.E. Chisom and Jennie G. McCullough Chisom. He was one of six children and lived in Lone Star throughout his life.
Gerald attended Rhoads High School in Daingerfield during a time when students with intellectual disabilities were not always treated with the dignity and respect they deserved. His devoted mother stood up for him and made certain that he was treated fairly and given the opportunity to graduate.
Gerald was a quiet and shy man, much like his father, whom he deeply admired. As a little boy, he followed his father everywhere, and that special bond continued even after Gerald was grown. He was a homebody who enjoyed the comfort of familiar surroundings and the company of those closest to him. Affectionately known as “Pig,” Gerald was deeply loved by his siblings and everyone who knew him. Family and friends were always asking about him, a reflection of how special he was to so many.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, R.E. and Jennie Chisom; one brother, Robert Chisom; and one sister, Catherine Chisom.
He leaves to cherish his memory two sisters, Sue Montgomery of Lone Star and Letha Simmons of McKinney; one brother, Richard Chisom of Lone Star; his sister-in-law, Beverly Chisom of Lone Star; numerous nieces and nephews; one great-niece; one great-nephew; and a host of cousins and dear friends.
Gerald was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. His family asks that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this journey called grief.
