Jimmie Crew Sheridan, 87, of Linden, Texas, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2026. Jimmie was born June 28, 1939. He graduated from DeKalb and was retired from Cass County. Jimmie was a maintenance man by heart, an electrician by trade, and a jack of ALL trades. He was a member of Linden Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Bessie Sheridan; 10 brothers; three sisters; and three sons, Joe Delbert Pate, Jerry Sheridan, and Scott Sheridan.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 ½ years, Martha Sue Fant Sheridan; one son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Tammy Pate of Longview, Texas. One daughter and son-in-law, Tanya and Phillip House of Texarkana, Texas. One daughter-in-law, Cindy Sheridan of Jacksonville, Texas. One brother and sister-in-law, Billy Jack and Dorothy Sheridan; one sister, Ima Bea Nix; an abundance of grandchildren: Jodi Sheridan, Cody Sheridan, Chris Sheridan, Hollie Cates, Taylor Pate, Shelley Hunt, Candace Foster, Derek Pate, Natalie Ferguson, Dalton Poole, Kyle House, Cory House, Dustin Dale, Hayden Dale, and Erin Greenwood; and a whole herd of great-grandchildren (we think 32).

Funeral service: 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Linden Methodist Church with Tommy “Judge” Kessler and Bro. Micah Harp officiating, with interment to follow at Wells Chapel. Pallbearers: Derek Pate, Dalton Poole, Cody Sheridan, Mike Berry, Cory Berry, Hunter Roberts, Maxx Cantu, Riley Herron. Honorary Pallbearers: Dana Paul Clayton, Jerry Berry, Joey Berry, Kenn Keasler, Joe Pat Early, and Lynn Riner.

Those wishing to honor Jimmie’s memory may make memorial contributions to Linden Methodist Church, the Wells Chapel Cemetery Association, 2 Claiborne Lane, Texarkana, TX 75501 or a charity of their choice.
