Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Ms. Joyce will be missed. She was a special lady and sure loved our Lord. Prayers for all the family.

  2. Ms. Joyce and Bro. Lloyd…..no finer people on the planet. No doubt about their reward being GREAT in heaven. It was a privilege for me just to know and associate with them.

  3. She was a wonderful Aunt Joyce to me and I will always treasure our visits. Her love for the Lord was evident and encouraging to me. I will truly miss her.

  4. I love Bro. Lloyd and Mrs. Joyce. Mrs. Joyce was my 3-5 grade Sunday School teacher at Calvary. She taught me foundational Bible stories, Scripture, and God’s truth each Sunday morning. God used her as part of my journey to grow in Christ, & now I’m surrendered to the Gospel ministry. It was a joy that I will always treasure that she was among the 5-6 from Calvary who came to my ordination in Texarkana 12 years ago.

The McCullough’s (and the Pease’s) lived about 1/2 mile from my house in Hughes Springs, and I would ride my bike at least once a week to their houses, especially in the Summers. I remember always getting a bowl of ice cream on my visits, talking at their table. I don’t remember all that we talked about. But I remember the impact that made in my life. It was a beautiful picture of “older pouring into the younger”. The McCulloughs (and the Pease’s) were “Titus 2 grandparents” to me, and for that I will be forever grateful.

What a day that will be! When we see Jesus and we see each other again in eternity!
