Randy Neal Surratt

Memorial services for Mr. Randy Neal Surratt, 75, of Linden, will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, June 14, 2026 at Reeder-Davis Chapel – Linden. Burial will follow at Linden Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.

Randy was born on October 13, 1950, in Atlanta, Texas, to Oneal Surratt and Faye Foshee Surratt. He grew up in Linden and graduated from Linden-Kildare High School in 1969.

During his time at Linden-Kildare, Randy distinguished himself as an outstanding athlete. He was an All-District linebacker and was especially remembered for an extraordinary game in which he scored five touchdowns. Throughout his life, he remained a devoted supporter of the LK Tigers and a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys.

Following high school, Randy proudly served his country in the National Guard for six years. He built a successful career in the lumber industry, working in outside sales for more than four decades. He spent over 21 years with Davis Lumber, six years with Economy Lumber, and 17 years with Red River Lumber Company before retiring in 2015.

Above all, Randy cherished his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose love, kindness, and steady presence touched the lives of many. He enjoyed a life filled with hard work, lasting friendships, and treasured moments with those he loved most.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oneal and Faye Surratt; and his son, Brent O’Neal Surratt. Randy is survived by his loving wife, Theresa Faye Miller Surratt; daughters: Mandy Surratt, Magen Surratt-Sewell (Shelby), Melissa Crew (Scott); grandchildren: Katie Robinson (Trey), Karlie Crew, Brent White, Keirsten Underwood, Alice Sewell, William Sewell; brother, Andy Surratt (Rhonda); sister, Sandy Wilcox (Dick); great grandchildren: Parker and Tate.

Randy will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his strong work ethic, his love of sports, and the many memories he created throughout his 75 years. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
