Hayden Alexander Barker

February 12, 2007 ~ April 30, 2023

Hayden Alexander Barker was born February 12, 2007 to Douglass and Jayme Barker. He passed from his earthly home on April 30, 2023 surrounded with love.
Hayden loved the water, especially the ocean.  He enjoyed Mexican food, bubbles, stacking and throwing blocks, Mickey Mouse and Sponge Bob.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, James Howell and Terry Barker; and aunt, Mickey Shuerman.
Hayden was so very loved and will be greatly missed by his parents, Douglass and Jayme Barker; sisters, Chloe, and Ryleigh, brother, Maverick; grandmothers, Wanda Howell and Sherry Bojarski; aunts and uncles:  Price and Gail, Greg and Marie, Johnny and Candy, Paul, Jimmy, and Daniel; and a host of great-aunts, great-uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services for Hayden will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 5, 2023 at Veal Switch Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Snow Hill Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home of Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Friday and lasting until service time. Please dress casually.
The family wishes to thank Texas Children’s Hospital, and the many wonderful doctors, nurses and caregivers. Their love and care for Hayden was greatly appreciated. They also would like to thank Hayden’s Doctors and NICU nurses from LSU Shreveport hospital-where it all started, his Transplant Doctors at Georgetown Hospital in Washington DC, and his Transplant Donor and their family that gave him a second chance of life of 16 years; knowing that he lived his life to his fullest ability.
