James Paul Brewer was born January 30, 1965 in Vancouver, Washington to Alois and Mary Brewer. He passed away unexpectedly on July 29, 2024. James was an electrician for AEP and worked at several power plants over the years. He was a Navy veteran who served his country proudly. He loved his grandchildren and he spoiled them rotten. Although he made a life in Texas, he had a special place in his heart for Oregon. He never met a stranger and was always ready with his “dad jokes”. James was touched by his participation in the Walk to Emmaus program. He loved the Lord, his family and his country.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Mary Gutierrez.
James is survived by a daughter, Paige Fraga and husband Saul of Pittsburg; son, Cameron Brewer of Pittsburg; three grandchildren, Kaden and Lynden Fraga and Jackson Brewer; siblings, Walter Brewer, Jerri Hathaway, Tony Brewer, Martin Brewer, and Angie Passmore; uncle, Charles Shaw; aunt, Geraldine Wilson; and a host of extended family and friends.
Services for Mr. Brewer will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Reeder-Davis Chapel in Hughes Springs.

I’m so sorry for your loss. He will be missed.
Prayers lifted for James’s family! He was such a sweet man.
Our deepest sympathy to the Brewer family. James was a great guy and I know he will be missed.
We met James at my niece’s wedding. The fact that Mary and Bryan and the children loved him so much certainly endeared James to all of us. Our heartfelt prayers go out for those who feel and grieve this great loss.
Swift sails and rest easy sailor. May your family heal and enjoy your lasting memory.
