James attended Daingerfield High School and, after completing his education, went on to work for Atlas Roofing, where he was a committed and hardworking employee for many years. Following his time at Atlas, James continued his strong work ethic at Pilgrim’s Pride.
Well known and beloved in his community, James was recognized for his generosity, often giving back and playing an active role in the lives of his nieces, nephews, and others in need. His acts of kindness and willingness to lend a helping hand left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
James also had a special admiration for Cadillac cars, proudly owning several throughout his lifetime. His love for Cadillacs was a signature part of who he was.
James was married for several years before later divorcing. Though he did not have biological children, he was a father figure to many. In his cherished relationship with Faye Henderson of Douglassville, which began in 1996, James helped raise two sons with love and care.

He leaves to cherish his memory his significant other, Faye Henderson of Douglassville; his daughter, Jasmine Williams of Texarkana, Texas, who he raised as his own; one living brother, George Lawton and wife Tanya Lawton of Daingerfield; his sister, Doris Beard Lee and husband Bobby of Dallas, Texas; his sister-in-law, Beverly Sadberry, who was his neighbor and provided loving care until his final moments; and his sister, Tasha McDaniel of Rome, Georgia. He is also survived by nephews, Curtis Lee and Tristan Sadberry and is wife Hannah and baby, Bobby Lee; nieces, LaTonia Lee and her children Chasity, TJ, and Brooklyn; Shawn Pearson; and Tialida Armstrong and her children; along with a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family, and cherished friends.
A special bond was shared between James and his sister Doris. They spoke every single day, sharing conversations about life and their love for each other. These daily talks brought James great comfort and joy and reflected the depth of their connection.
James Earl “Bubba” Sadberry will be remembered for his generosity, devotion to family, and the warmth he shared with everyone he met. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
