Robin Currey Hall

February 4, 1952 ~ June 18, 2025
Robin Currey Hall beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully June 18, 2025 at the age of 73 years old.
Born in Hobbs, New Mexico and raised in East Texas, Robin graduated from Kilgore College in 1972. Her life was a testament to resilience, love, creativity, and unwavering faith. She experienced great joy and deep sorrow, walking each season with strength and a heart full of compassion. She embraced challenges with zeal and determination.
Robin married Mickey Stilwell in 1973, and they were gifted with two precious sons, Brian (1974) and Lee (1976).
Lee was tragically stillborn, and Mickey and Robin’s marriage did not survive. Yet, her love as a mother never faltered. She continued to raise Brian with dedication and courage, returning to Hughes Springs, Texas to be near family.
In 1979, Robin married Pete Davis and embraced his daughter, Kerri, as her own. Together, they raised their children strong in faith and community on a farm outside of Hughes Springs. Robin earned her teaching degree in 1988 and began her career at Chapel Hill Elementary. In 1991, she and Pete adopted their daughter Erika, expanding their family once again. They were married for 13 years until his sudden passing from cancer in 1992.
Robin continued teaching art at P.E. Wallace Middle School until 2011. She is remembered by many students for her creative spirit and warm encouragement.
Later in life, she married Steve Hall and moved to South Carolina, gaining another cherished stepdaughter, Jessica. Robin worked as an aide to students with special needs at Oak Mountain High School in Birmingham, Alabama-a role she described as one of the most fulfilling of her career. After Steve’s passing in 2015, Robin returned to Texas to be near her children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Edna Currey; son, Lee Stilwell; husband, Pete Davis and husband, Steve Hall.
Robin leaves behind her cherished aunts Wynell Steeley and Carolyn Hicks; her loving siblings: Karen and Danny Carroll, Kelly and Faye Currey and Pamela Currey; her treasured children and grandchildren: Brian and Michele Stilwell, and their children Calvin, Codi, and Claudia of Dallas, Texas; Kerri and Rod Clyatt, and their son, Camron, and soon to be daughter-in-law, Kinley, of Baytown, Texas; Erika Davis of LaPorte, Texas; Jessica and Evan Lawrence, and their daughter Everly of Millbrook, Alabama; and a host of beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and many loved ones.
Robin gave us the gift of child-like play and living our lives to the fullest. We are forever thankful.
