James Thomas Ruzicka, 68, of Hughes Springs, passed away peacefully at his home on August 21, 2025. He was born on October 30, 1956, in Riverside, California, to James and Mitzi Ruzicka.
James was a loving and caring man, known for his hard work, one-of-a-kind spirit, and the kindness he showed to those around him. Though he faced health challenges in recent years, he met them with strength and resilience.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patty Ruzicka; his parents; his twin sisters; and his grandson, Marques’lyn.
James is survived by his daughters, Susan Ruzicka of Hughes Springs and Katherine Ruzicka of Hallsville; grandchildren, Kirra and Jerimiah; siblings, Tami Piccirello, Kanette Burright, Gary Reeder, and Kevin Ruzicka; special sister-in-law, Debra Ragon; and special family friend, Michelle Marion. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will cherish his memory.
Arrangements entrusted to Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. At this time there are no services planned.
