Funeral services for Mrs. Judy Hutsell, 80, of Linden, Texas, will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at Cornerstone Assembly of God in Atlanta, Texas. Burial will follow at Linden Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden. There will be a time of visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Hutsell passed away Friday, August 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Judy Ann Garrett Hutsell was born on July 27, 1945 in Success, Missouri to Jasper and Clara Garrett and passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.
She married Lonnie Hutsell on June 2, 1963 they had 62 years of marriage building a strong foundation for their family to grow from.
A devoted wife, mother, Nanny, sister and friend, her journey while on earth is marked by her love, compassion and unselfishness.
She is survived by her loving husband Lonnie Hutsell, daughter Susan Jester of Linden, sons Don (Pam) Hutsell of Queen City, Richard (Cammy) Hutsell of Linden, and daughter in law Christy Hutsell (Grady) Story of Linden, brother Ralph Garrett of Success Missouri, sister Sudie (Ray) York of Rolla Missouri and many nieces and nephews. She was adored by 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, son Merle Hutsell, sisters Maxine Johnson, Lorine Garrett, Gladys Garrett, brother Bud Garrett, sister Imogene Collins, brothers Charlie Garrett, Keith Garrett, and Bob Garrett, her mother and father-in-law Warren and Thelma Hutsell.
She had a special bond with each of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Each of them will forever hold onto every special moment they had with her. She spent many years helping raise and nurture each of them.
She was a member of Cornerstone Assembly of God Church. She loved the Lord and was a shining light of what a Christian woman is. She set a wonderful example to everyone of how to love and forgive.
Even though they were separated by living states apart, she always had a continued relationship with all of her siblings as long as the years allowed.
Judy’s legacy is one of love, laughter and strength. She will be sorely missed by all that knew her.
The family would like to thank Traditions Health Hospice for the care and compassion they provided.
In lieu of sending flowers the family requests donations be made to Traditions Health Hospice.

She was a very special lady. She had a wonderful sense of humor and she could make me laugh with the stories of Sudie and her adventures. So glad i had the chance to know her. Prayers for all of the family
So sorry Lonnie and family for your loss. One thing for sure Judy is truly forever home and rejoicing before our Lord Jesus. Praying for all of you.
I’ve known Judy and her family for many years when school with her kids and it just breaks my heart to know that she is gone but at the same time we all know that she’s in a better place and that she’s looking down on all of us, my prayers and condolences to her family and may God bless you And keep you and help you through this time of need.
