John Wesley Martaindale, 76, of Ore City, Texas, was born July 15, 1949 in Bogata, Texas to William Francis and Lee Ottie Martindale.  He passed in Lindale on August 29, 2025.

John was a simple man who enjoyed watching westerns on T.V.  He was preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Mona; his parents; sisters, Dessie Hancock, Nadine Powell, Myrle Reynolds, Uvoynne Guidry, and brother, Marion Martaindale.  He was also preceded in death by his step daughter, Mickie Shannon.

He is survived by his son, Billy Martaindale (Sarah); daughters, Latricia Martaindale and Shawna Wooten.  He was a proud stepfather to Lisa McGuire (James), Marsha Price (Kevin), Elizabeth Lambert (Larry) Harvey Lamkin, Glenda Carr (Junior), and Ginger Oller (Jeff).  He is survived by one sister, Janice Garmon (Dave).  He was adored and loved by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2025, in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City.
