Patricia Ann Cathey was born July 1, 1939, to Leo and L.A. Green and grew up in Hughes Springs, Texas. She graduated from Hughes Springs High School and later attended Michael’s Beauty School in Longview, Texas.

Patricia went on to work in the cafeteria at Hughes Springs ISD, where she lovingly served students and staff for 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Cathey, and her son, Patrick Cathey.

Patricia’s life, simply put, was centered around her faith, her family, and her friends.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Ronny and Pam Smith, Chambers Hospice, and Capstone Nursing Center for their incredible support.

Our funeral director Amy, from our first meeting to our last was so kind, She shared in our laughter of funny memories and she shared in our tears seeing our grief. Chris is so caring and thoughtful and was able to help me make it through the entire process of caring for Keith and my family until the final burial. I have known his staff for a long time and they also helped lighten our sorrow by their outpouring of love and compassion.
