Funeral services for Mr. James L. Linwood, Jr., 71, of Daingerfield, Texas, will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Cason. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Mr. Linwood will lie in state for viewing from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Friday, October 10, 2025, at the funeral home.

Mr. Linwood passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2025, in Tyler, Texas. The full obituary will be announced as it becomes available.
