Alice Nell Latham

Graveside services for Mrs. Alice Nell Latham, 92, of Hughes Springs, will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Sardis Cemetery, with Bro. Randy Watkins officiating, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.  Mrs. Latham passed away Saturday, October 4, 2025, in Hughes Springs.

Alice Nell Latham, 92, of Hughes Springs, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2025, in Hughes Springs. She was born on August 11, 1933, in Linden, Texas.

Alice was a devoted member of the Hughes Springs Church of Christ and a woman of great faith, strength, and love. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose family meant everything to her. Known for her caring heart and determined spirit, Alice was deeply devoted to those she loved. In her younger years, she enjoyed riding horses and fishing, finding joy and peace in the outdoors. She lovingly cared for her son, Shane, for many years, showing boundless patience, devotion, and compassion.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband, James Latham; her son, Jeffery Shane Latham; and her brother, Calvin Green.

She is survived by her sons, Glenn Latham and Dana Latham and his wife, Laurie; grandchildren, Justin Latham (Charlotte), Jeffery Van Latham ( Melanie), Jenna Lynn Latham, Jeremey Westmoreland, Ashley Nicole Jackson (Cody), and Shannon Van Latham; great-grandchildren, Gunner Lane Latham, Kaylynn Latham, McKenzie Latham, Brooklynn Latham, McKinley Townson (Jacob), Karter Westmoreland, and Jake Westmoreland; and her sister, Glenda Bihary.
