Arthic Jewel was born on January 24, 1932, in Jefferson, Texas, to Arthur and Fannie Davis. She was the youngest of four children and her mother’s baby. She received her education at Macedonia School in Marion County.

Arthic married the love of her life, J.T. Abron, Sr., on July 10, 1948. The 60 years of love they shared were undeniable, and their seed was greatly multiplied, with children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She really loved the Lord, and later in life, they were baptized together at East Side Church of Christ in Garland, TX.

Arthic Jewel was a woman of many passions. She found joy in quilting, cooking, gardening, working in her yard, baking, and socializing with friends. On any given day, you would find her dressed in many layers, making quilts, building a chicken coop, or working in her garden. Being the very witty woman she was, she often caught us off guard with quick comebacks that kept us filled with laughter. She was a proud and independent woman who did everything she could for herself.

More than anything, Arthic Jewel was devoted to her family and friends, and she took great pride in being a loyal daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her Children, Cecil Abron, Patricia Abron, Lucy (Roy) Hutchings, Shirley Andrews, Evangeline Jones, Beverly Abron, Amanda(Charles) Daniels, Frances Abron(Avis), JT Jr (Candy) Abron, Michael (Sonya) Abron, 32 Grand Children, 54 Great Grand Children, 24 Great Great Grand Children and a host of loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband JT Abron Sr, Daughters Janice Abron and Fannie Mary Verner, grandchildren Eric Abron, Danielle Verner, Gwendolyn Jones and Vonquita Abron her mother and father Arthur and Fannie Davis, and Siblings Lettie Harris, Jack Davis, and Dorothy Hughes, whom we take comfort in knowing welcomed her with open arms. Though the pain of her loss is overwhelming, we find solace in the memories she left behind.

Her spirit will live on in every shared story, every echo of laughter, and every act of love inspired by her example. We will forever carry her in our hearts.
