Mary Lynn Wilson was born on September 11, 1933, in Bloomburg, Texas, and passed away on December 29, 2025, in Longview, Texas, surrounded by her loving family.

Mary Lynn lived in Linden for the majority of her life and was a longtime and faithful member of First Baptist Church in Linden. There, she lovingly cared for the children in the nursery for many years and cherished the fellowship of her Sunday School class. She was also a dedicated member of the Order of the Eastern Star, where she was deeply involved and took great pride in her service, forming lifelong friendships.

Mary Lynn retired first from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, where her career included a special assignment in Washington, D.C., for two years, a time she treasured for the experiences and opportunities it brought. She also retired from the Cass County Assessor-Collector’s Tax Office. Mary Lynn delighted in travel, visiting places such as Alaska, Hawaii, and New York City, among others. After retiring and hanging up her square dancing shoes, she enjoyed spending time at the Senior Citizens Center, playing Mexican Train with friends and often leading group exercise sessions. She was a wonderful cook and delighted in spoiling her family and friends.

Above all, Mary Lynn was a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister who deeply loved her family. She will be remembered for her kind heart, servant’s spirit, and the love she shared so freely with everyone around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Inez Henderson; and her brothers, William Earl Henderson and Royce Paul Henderson.

She is survived by her children, Mary Lou Fletcher and husband David of Kansas City, Missouri, Sue Wilson of Longview, and Bubba Wilson and wife Kim of Bivins; five grandchildren, Josh Fletcher, Niki Monte and husband Jason, Lucas Wilson and wife Jamie, Kirby Washington and husband Bobby, and Charle Gibson and husband Daniel; ten great-grandchildren, Kyler, Jaxon, Rylea, Ayden, Braden, Kameron, Kimmy, Kasen, Evie, and Kassidy; her siblings, Joann O’Rand, Sam Henderson and wife Anna, and Joyce Henderson; along with a host of extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Linden Cemetery Association in memory of Mary Lynn Wilson.
