Janice Barker, age 76, of Ore City, Texas, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2026, in Longview, Texas.
Janice was born on August 14, 1949, in Fulton, Missouri, to the late Henry and Helen Davis. She spent her life as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who took pride in her home and family.
She was married to her husband, Gary Barker, for 35 years. Janice is survived by her husband Gary Barker; one son, Joey Hall; one daughter, Susan Joslin; three grandchildren, Shelbie Sipes, Brittany Joslin, and Austin Joslin; five great-grandchildren, Jayden Sipes, Piper Sipes, Gracie Sipes, Wyatt Joslin, and Jessie Joslin; and one sister, Rosalee Davis.
Janice enjoyed yard work and keeping a well-cared-for home. She especially loved traveling to Mexico and spending time at the beach. She was also proud to be one of the first female mechanics at Eastman, where she broke barriers and paved the way for others through her hard work and determination.
Funeral services for Mrs. Barker will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 16, 2026 in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden. Burial will follow at Linden Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, prior to the service.
