Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Barton Adcock, 70, of Hughes Springs, Texas, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2026, in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Burial will follow at Hughes Springs Cemetery.  There will be a time of visitation with family and friends beginning one hour prior to service time Friday at the funeral home.

Linda Adcock, a lifetime resident of Hughes Springs, Texas, went to her Heavenly home on February 02, 2026. She was born on November 21, 1955, to William Charlie Barton and Sylvia Louise Owens, in Naples, Texas.

Linda was a Licensed Vocational Nurse for over 20 years. She devoted her life to her family and cared for her husband when his health failed. Linda was a member of Hughes Springs Missionary Baptist Church. Throughout her life she enjoyed many trips to Branson, Mo., with her beloved family, as well as day trips to Canton Flea Market. She loved working in her yard and caring for her beautiful flowers. She cherished holidays, playing forty-two games, sharing much laughter, and recalling many memories of time spent with her family as well as special cousins Dott and Ronney Roberts, Horace Owens, Edgar Owens and her beloved great-great niece Hannah Croley.

Left to cherish her memory, is a family she dearly loved: her sister Brenda Dannelley; sister-in-law, Sylvia Adcock; daughter, Courtney Carpenter (Vic); stepsons, Michael Adcock and family, Kevin Adcock and family; nephew and nieces, William Dannelley (Brooke) Melinda Moore (Chantz), and Pam Anderson (Johnny); great nieces and nephews; Dawson, Landon and Tessa Dannelley, Mallory Reeves, Wyatt Moore, Brittany Anderson (Eric Bullard), and Brenda Katherine Higginbothom; great great niece, Hannah Croley; step grandchildren; Brayden Adcock and family and Nathan Morris; special cousin Dott Roberts (Ronney) and a host of extended family members and friends.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Elmer Wayne Adcock and brothers-in-law, Milton Adcock, and Kenneth Dannelley.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Texas Oncology and Cypress Basin Hospice.
