Thomas Wayne Simpson, 61, of Jefferson, Texas, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2026, in Longview, Texas.

Thomas, affectionately known as “Buster,” was born September 13, 1964, in Hughes Springs, Texas, to Vedder Wayne Simpson and Norma Rae Willeford Simpson. Buster lived life on his own terms and never met a stranger. He was known for his friendly nature and his ability to connect with people wherever he went.

Buster enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, and especially looked forward to attending the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally each year. Whether on the open road or gathered with friends and family, he treasured fellowship and the simple joys of life.

He is survived by his stepmother, Sue Simpson; two sisters, Teresa Wallace and Sherrill Simpson; and numerous other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life visitation will be held Tuesday, February 17, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.
