Jimmie Henderson

Jimmie Dee Henderson, 72, of Atlanta, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on February 14, 2026. He was born on July 27, 1953, in Cass County, Texas.

Mr. Henderson was a former employee of Red River Army Depot and NOV Tuboscope. He graduated from Atlanta High School in 1973 and proudly served in the United States Army from 1973 to 1977. He was a faithful member of Floyd Valley Baptist Church in Marietta, Texas.

Jimmie was a loving, though sometimes stubborn, man who cherished his family and friends. He especially enjoyed barbecuing for gatherings, most notably during the Fourth of July holiday, when he brought everyone together with good food and fellowship.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo Coleman and Ione Henderson; three brothers, Harold Henderson, Russell Henderson, and Clarence Henderson, “Shine” Henderson; and one sister, Georgia Miller.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, La Shonda “Lit Bit” Bell; his son, Ferlando Bell; and his sisters, Lizzie Luckey, Etherine Henderson, Faye Henderson, Barbara Henderson, and Brenda Henderson.
