Debbie passed away on February 23, 2026, in Tyler, Texas.  She was born on December 27, 1956, in Patuxent River, Maryland, to J.C. and Judith Woomer.

Debbie was a simple woman who didn’t need much to be happy. She liked keeping up with the news and following politics and always knew what was going on in the world. If something important happened, you could count on Debbie to already know about it. She enjoyed talking about current events and wasn’t afraid to share her thoughts. Staying informed was just part of who she was.

She also liked playing games on her phone and enjoyed the comfort of her everyday routine. Debbie was a faithful employee at the Subway inside Greg’s Miracle Mart in Hughes Springs, where she worked until her health would no longer allow. She appreciated her coworkers and the folks she saw each day. More than anything, her grandkids were her life. They will always remember her sneaking them coffee when they were little and sitting down to share a cup together. Those simple moments meant everything to her, and they’ll carry those memories with them forever.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rickey Jones; her mother, Judith Woomer; sister, Terry Bellinger; brother, Jeff Woomer; and her companion of over 15 years, Dana Martin.
She is survived by her father, J.C. Woomer (Sharon); her children, Rickey Jones (Misti), Jennifer Naquin (Robert), and Tamara Jones (Calvin); her grandchildren, Tessa Spence, Briana Jones (Arthur), Casey Jones, Skylar Naquin, Sonya Freeman (Tristan), Jayla Jones, and Payton Doddy; four great-grandchildren, Samuel, Heather, Leanne, and Layla; her brothers, Mark Woomer (Linda) and Scott Woomer (Randy); her stepchildren, DeeDee Martin and Chad Martin; three step-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss her dearly.
