Brenda Sue Price passed away on March 3, 2026. She was born on September 24, 1953, to R.C. and Margarette Fitzgerald.

Brenda was a loving mother, granny, sister, and friend whose life was defined by her deep faith and her devotion to the people she loved. To know Brenda was to know what it felt like to be welcomed. Her home was more than a house—it was a refuge. Family and friends gathered there because they knew they would be met with warmth, conversation, and a genuine sense of belonging. She had a quiet thoughtfulness about her, a way of caring for others that was not loud or showy, but deeply intentional. If you mattered to Brenda, you felt it.

Life brought Brenda its share of hardships, but she met those challenges with resilience and faith. She often said she learned from the “school of hard knocks,” and she shared those lessons freely with those she loved, especially her daughter. She wanted the people around her to walk more wisely and live more fully, and she guided them with both honesty and compassion.

Brenda’s faith in Christ was the foundation of her life. It was not something she spoke of lightly, but something she lived each day through kindness, perseverance, and a strength that carried her through life’s joys and trials alike.

Though she was thoughtful and reflective, Brenda also had a wonderful sense of humor and a willingness to embrace adventure. She shared many memorable journeys with her daughter, traveling across the country and abroad. From visiting Alcatraz to standing on the snowy heights of Mount Charleston near Las Vegas, from exploring Europe to zip-lining down Fremont Street, Brenda showed a courage and curiosity that made life’s adventures even more meaningful. She was never afraid to show up, laugh, and experience the world alongside the people she loved.

More than anything, Brenda cherished her family. She was deeply proud of her daughter and found immeasurable joy in her grandchildren, Lillian Marie “Lilly” Borszich and John Theodore “Teddy” Borszich. Talking about them brought a special light to her face, and the love she had for them was unmistakable.

Brenda is survived by her daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Borszich and her husband, Aaron Borszich; her beloved grandchildren, Lillian Marie Borszich and John Theodore Borszich; her sister, Terry Ann Kraner and her husband, T.K. Kraner; and her brothers, William Fitzgerald and Jerry Fitzgerald.

She was preceded in death by her parents, R.C. and Margarette Fitzgerald; her son, Steven Dwane Price; her brother, Jim Bob Fitzgerald; her sister-in-law, Carla Fitzgerald; and her nephews, William Cody Fitzgerald and Jason Corley Fitzgerald.

Brenda will be remembered for her steady faith, her generous heart, and the warmth she extended to everyone who walked through her door. The love she shared with her family and friends will continue to live on in the lives she touched and the memories she leaves behind.

  1. Candle 5Brenda was one of my favorite customers at the Flower Mill in Daingerfield. I always looked forward to a visit with her and considered her a friend a friend. She was still working at U S Steel last I knew but was talking about retirement. It’s been a few years since I saw her last but I remember her as being kind and good. Always caring and concerned. Her obituary was beautifully written and described her to a T. Brenda shared a lot of love with all of us and I know she will be dearly missed. Heartfelt sympathy to all of her family and friends. We all know the world was a better place with Brenda here.
