Nancy Ruth Karr

Graveside services for Nancy Ruth Karr, 81, of Linden will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 24, 2026, at Linden Cemetery, with Bro. Tim Brown officiating, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.  Ms. Karr passed away April 22, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones.

Mrs. Karr was a devoted homemaker and an avid doll maker, a hobby that brought her much joy throughout her life.

Nancy was born on July 7, 1944, in Atlanta, Texas, to Cledus Virgil Deaton and Susan Frances Crow Deaton.

She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Loretta Karr and Susan April Karr; two sisters, Rosemary Kelly and Ruby Brown; brother, John Deaton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion “Red” Karr; her parents, Cledus Virgil Deaton and Susan Frances Crow Deaton; brothers, Billy Deaton, Leon Deaton, and Wesley Deaton, and Donald Deaton; sisters, Dorothy Cupp and Fay Humphrey.
