Born in:
Marshall, Texas

Juanita Joy Harlin Phillips, 71, of Hughes Springs, Texas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior in May 2026. A woman of deep and abiding faith, she lived her life in service to Christ, her family, and her community.
Juanita was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Randy Phillips; her father, Travis Finnis Harlin; her mother, Laquetta Joy Phillips; Sisters Anita Oney and Patricia Anderson, Brother Rex Harlin and her grandson, Michael Phillips.
She leaves behind a legacy of faith and love through her family: her children, Robert F. Phillips and husband Devin Green of Marshall, Texas; Ann Estrada and husband Jose of Gunnison, Colorado; Torrey Phillips and wife Tammy of Avinger, Texas; and Darren and Deborah Crenshaw of Atlanta, Texas.
She was a proud and loving grandmother to Travis Gardner of France, Trent Phillips of South Dakota, Hannah Gardner of Utah, Phoebe Robertson, Sophie Davis, Skeeter Phillips, Angela Crenshaw, Deanne Crenshaw, and Hope Clark, all of Texas; and was further blessed with 15 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
Juanita was a devoted and faithful member of South Union Baptist Church in Daingerfield. Her walk with the Lord was evident in her lifelong service, including teaching Sunday school, directing Vacation Bible School, serving as a youth sponsor, singing in the sanctuary choir, and actively participating in the Ladies Auxiliary, Yesterday’s Youth, and the Lamplighter Sunday School class. She had a servant’s heart and a deep love for others that reflected the love of Christ, especially in the lives of the next generation.
She was also an active member of the Daingerfield community, working at Baker’s Cleaners and volunteering with Daingerfield ISD, always willing to lend a helping hand wherever she was needed.
Juanita’s life was a reflection of Christ’s love; steadfast, humble, and full of grace. Her greatest joy was her family, and she found deep purpose in caring for and supporting those she loved. Though she will be deeply missed, her family rejoices in the promise of that glad reunion day, when we all get to heaven and the joy of the Lord is shared forever.
