Billy Gene Treadway

Billy Gene Treadway, age 80, of Linden, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, May 18, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on June 29, 1945, in Atlanta, Texas, Billy went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Billy was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He shared 60 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Barbara Treadway, building a life centered on faith, family, and love.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Imogene Treadway; his sister, Diane Harroll; and his nephew, Anthony “Tony” Jones.

Left to cherish his memory are the love of his life, wife of 60 years, Barbara Treadway of Linden, Texas; his children, Charles Treadway and Stacy Treadway Clark and husband James Clark, all of Linden, Texas; his brother, Ronnie Treadway and wife Mary of Doddridge, Arkansas; his nephew, Ron Treadway; and his niece, Connie Foster.

Billy also leaves behind five grandchildren, Natalie Sirmons, Mitzi Combs and husband Landon Combs, Angel Treadway, Heather Moore Cornett and husband James Cornett, and Tiffany Moore, all of Linden, Texas. He was further blessed with twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Heritage Hospice and all of the caregivers and aides who lovingly assisted Billy during his time of need.

A memorial service to celebrate Billy’s life will be announced once scheduled.
