Billy Ray Lanier, Jr., 72, of Linden, Texas, left this earth to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 12, 2026. He was born January 5, 1954, in Gilmer, Texas.

He was a Marine Corps infantry veteran, a trustworthy man of fine character, and a longtime member of Fairland Holiness Church in Fouke, Arkansas.

He leaves behind his wife of 53 years, René; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Jenny Lanier; daughter, Misty Fisher Lanier; grandchildren, Travis and his wife April, Jacob, Leah, Aileen, and Abrie; and great-grandchildren, Naomi and Winona.

Services for Mr. Lanier will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2026 in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs with Bro. Lloyd Shuecraft officiating. Burial will follow at Hughes Springs Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. Friday and lasting until the service begins.
