Jacky Stroman

Funeral services for Mr. Jacky Stroman, 82, of Longview, Texas, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2026, in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Burial will follow at Hughes Springs Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation with family and friends beginning one hour prior to service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Jacky Wayne Stroman was born December 31, 1943, in Avinger, Texas, to Herman and Bettie Jo Stroman. He passed away peacefully on September 9, 2026, at his home in Longview, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Stroman proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, he continued his commitment to serving others through his career as a police officer. He enjoyed listening to music, with “Tennessee Whiskey” being a favorite song. He also had a special fondness for kitty cats and enjoyed watching basketball, as well as anything involving trucks. These simple pleasures were among the many things that brought him happiness throughout his life.

Jacky enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He loved to dance and was always ready for something sweet after every meal. Above all, he deeply loved his wife, Olga Teresa Stroman, whom he affectionately called his “little wifey.” Their love and companionship held a special place in his heart throughout their life together.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Bettie Jo Stroman, brother, Arnold “Chip” Stroman.

Mr. Stroman is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Olga Stroman; son, Mark Stroman; daughters:  Ramona Stroman, Sheri Bishop, Wendy Stroman; sister, Ida Betts and husband Thad; sister, Ruby Graves.

Jacky will be remembered for his love of family, his service to others, and the joy he found in life’s simple pleasures.
