Gordon “Bud” Lambert

Memorial service with military honors for Mr. Gordon “Bud” Lambert, 80, of Hughes Springs, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2026, in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.

Gordon Lee Lambert was born February 20, 1946, in Dallas, Texas, to Guy Hood Lambert and Veda Mae Prewett Lambert.  He passed away on September 9, 2026, in Longview, Texas, surrounded by his loving family.

 Mr. Lambert proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era. Throughout his life, he was an entrepreneur and a true jack-of-all-trades, always willing to learn something new and always willing to learn and try something new.

Music was an important part of his life. For many years, he enjoyed playing in a band alongside his brother, creating countless memories through their shared love of music.  Above all, Mr. Lambert was a God-fearing man whose faith remained an important part of his life.

Mr. Lambert was preceded in death by his parents, Guy Hood Lambert and Veda Mae Gautney; his dad, Dallas Gautney; brother, Don Lambert; sister, Joyce Starnes; grandson, Landon Lambert.
