Margaret Ann Hill

Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Hill, 79, of Hughes Springs, Texas, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2026, in the chapel of  Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.  Burial will follow at Bradfield Chapel Cemetery.  There will be a time of visitation beginning one hour prior to service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Margaret Ann Hill, lovingly known as Ann, was born on January 12, 1947, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Thurmond and Marjorie Todd.

Ann was a devoted homemaker who found great joy in caring for her family and the people she loved. Her greatest gift was the love and care she freely gave to those around her. She treasured the simple things in life and found happiness in everyday moments. She had a special love for her flowers and took great pleasure in feeding her birds. These simple joys reflected her gentle and caring spirit.

Ann was preceded in death by the love of her life, Roy Allen Hill; and her parents, Thurmond and Marjorie Todd.

She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her son, Dennis Hill and his wife, Laura; her daughter, Benita Mankel and her husband, Eric; her brothers and sisters, John “Tommy” Todd and his wife, Patricia, Ronald “Ronnie” Todd and his wife, Kathy, Thurmond “Buck” Todd Jr. and his wife, Linda, Kathryn “Little Kat” Grishman, Johnny L. Todd and his wife, Annette, Chris Todd, and Vickie Ann McClellan; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Ann was a simple lady with a beautiful heart. She did not need much to be happy, finding joy in her family, her home, her flowers, her birds, and the little moments that made life meaningful. Though she will be deeply missed, her love, kindness, and the memories she shared will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and she will be missed always
