Willie Rodgers

February 9, 1948 ~ March 22, 2016
He served as a faithful member of Mt. Mitchell Church of Christ. Willie Bob attended Daingerfield High School. He labored many years at Pilgrims Pride and Lone Star Tubular Services, Inc. He enjoyed fishing and walking the surroundings area.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Hattie Younger and James Robinson; step-father, Henry Younger James Robinson; five brothers, Johnny Ray Chism, Melvin Frank Chism, John Rodgers, Jimmy Wayne Chism, Jr. and Willie B. Chism; four sisters, Monica L. Linwood, Tammy L. Craine, Ann E. Jones, and Queen H. Chism.
He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Kevin L. Cobbins of Omaha, Texas; daughter, Rebecca Rodgers of Austin, Texas; ten brothers, William Paul Chism (Janet) of Lone Star, Ronald Smith (Charlotte) of Dallas, Henry Earl Younger (Margaret) of DeSoto, Cedric Younger of Cedar Hill, Earnest Younger (Belinda) of Fort Worth, Doyle Wayne Chism of Pittsburg, Dwayne Robinson of Greenville, Reggie Robinson of Greenville, Bobby Joe Chism of Dallas, and Donny Scott Chism of Indiana; six sisters, Rozalyn Walker (Harold) of New Diana, Sharon Hughes (Kelvin) of Duncanville, Jackie Keller (Fred) of Lancaster, Kathy Chism-Walters of Indiana, Arma Mannings of Dallas, Loretta Chism (Sharon) of Dallas; brother-in-law, James Linwood of Daingerfield; sister-in-law, Mae Joyce Chism of Lone Star; two grandchildren, Brandon and Kevin Cobbins; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins along with other relatives and friends who truly loved and cared for him throughout his life.
Services for Mr. Rodgers will be 12:00 noon, Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Mt. Mitchell Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Reynolds Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation from 6 until 8 Friday evening at the funeral home.

Prayers are for sure with my other family. I met this family in 1971 and have been in the family sine then. This is a good strong family and we have lost some good members of this family, but from "Big Mamma" to the rest of us, we have to keep on living and keep God first in our lives.
