Services for Hubbert Lewis, 76 of Naples, will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Gesthsemane Missionary Baptist Church in Naples. Burial will follow at Gesthsemane Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Hubbert Lavern Lewis was born January 24, 1940 to Ben and Minnie Lewis, and passed away March 15, 2016.
Mr. Lewis united with Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He married Opal Faye Roney February 28, 1967 in Dallas, Texas, to this union one child was born.
Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Minnie Lewis; and brother, Ben H. Lewis.
Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife, Opal Faye Lewis; daughters, Teresa Renee Finley of Dallas, and Cora Lavern Lewis Horton and husband, Charles of Dallas; grandchild, Jonathan Horton; nieces, Vickie Austin, Vickie Fluellen, Judy Hill, Lisa Lewis, Carla Brown, Shelundra Santiago, and Vivian Lynch; nephews, Ricky Hill, Bengie Lewis, Alton King; sister, Ida Hill of Naples; brother, Ben Lewis Jr. of Queens, New York; and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
