Bobbie Morgan

bobbie morgan
Bobbie Lou Vinson Morgan was born June 19, 1927 to John and Annie Vinson. She was the youngest of eleven children, all of whom preceded her in death. She passed away from this world on March 2, 2016 to reunite with Kenneth, her husband of more than 67 years.
Bobbie grew up in Hughes Springs, Texas after being born in Plano, Texas. She graduated valedictorian of her senior class at Hughes Springs High School. She married Kenneth James Morgan June 21, 1947. Together they had and raised three sons, Tony, Mark and Kyle.
There was always an occasion to celebrate with Bobbie. Birthdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas and family vacations were all big productions for her. These occasions have left many special memories for all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to cherish.
Bobbie and Kenneth were dedicated active members of the First Baptist Church of Linden for more than 40 years. Bobbie taught Sunday School in the childrens department for many years and loved singing in the choir as long as she was able.
A warm and ongoing smile is what most people first remember about Bobbie. Even as her health was failing she would always greet her visitors with that special smile. Her family and friends will never forget that smile, but we will sure miss seeing it.
When Kenneth passed away 16 months ago Bobbie seemed lost without him. The family takes comfort in knowing that they are walking together and holding hands again today and through out eternity.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Tony Kent and Vicki Morgan, James Mark and Nona Morgan, and Vinson Kyle and Rebbecca Morgan; six grandchildren, Karen Orlowski and husband Ryan, Ben Morgan, Ann Marie Morgan, Lauren Morgan, Jordan Godwin and husband Derrik, Judson Morgan and wife Sara; five great-grandchildren, Megan, Nicholas, Ryder, Roman and Gage; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Ann Morgan; two sisters-in-law, Billie Jean Morgan, Mae Don Dudley and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Morgan; her parents and siblings.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Maurita Hollowell for the loving care that she provided to Ms. Bobbie during this last year. Maurita was a blessing to her and the family.
