A Time To Learn:She attended Avinger School District. She attended Hurd Beauty College. She also received her real estate license.
A Time For Reverence To God:She joined Union Hill Baptist Church at an early age.
A Time To Die:Carolyn Sues untimely demise came Sunday, January 24, 2016 in Atlanta, Georgia.
A Time To Mourn:
She leaves to mourn her passing: three sons, Rodney Mathis (Sherry), Edward Chism (Stacy), and James Princeton Chism all of Avinger, Texas; ten grandchildren, Devin Mathis, KaDarrian Chism, Asia Espy, Marorri Espy, Sharniya Espy, Jasmine Bryson, Kala Andrews, Braylon Chism, Brandon Chism, and Bryon Chism; one great-grandchild, JaKadyn Blanton; four sisters, Elaine Harris of Plano, Texas, Nita Malone of Carrollton, Texas, Vanessa Campbell of Longview, and Sherea Clark of Marshall, Texas; aunt, Elois Hawthorne of Beaumont; a special cousin, Nona Byrd; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by sisters, Vivian Traylor, Inetta Mathis-Hopkins, and Tronderlyn Roberson; brothers, Rufus Mathis, Fronzell Mathis, Jr., and Ronald Connor.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Avinger. Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Ms. Chism will in state from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
