Lana Beth Foster, beloved wife, mother and grandmother completed her work on earth Sunday, May 3, 2015. She was passionate in choosing a life and career centered in service to others. Her husband, son and daughter-in-law as well as her grandchildren knew only unwavering love and dedication from her. As a registered nurse, she unselfishly spent her career improving the quality of life for her patients and co-workers. Her family takes great pride in her Christ like ministry and will strive to uphold these tenets. Survivors include her loving husband of 50 years Kenneth Foster of Linden; one son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Terry Don and Melba Foster of Atlanta, TX and two granddaughters, Lauren and Natalie Foster of Atlanta, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Opal Washington and her brother, Vernon Washington, Jr. Services will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, May 7, 2015 at New Colony Baptist Church with Bro. Dale Perkins officiating. Burial to follow in the New Colony Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Wednesday evening at the Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.

Dear Dr. Foster and Family, I am sorry for the loss of your mother. You are all in my prayers.
I remember Lana and her loving and caring manner in which she ministered to her patients and their families at Redbud Retreat in Naples. She certainly demonstrated the love of Christ in her daily activites.Love, sympathy and prayers to her family–I recall Terry Don as a young LK boy.She is a "partaker in Glory" now.

My life was blessed because I had the honor of knowing this beautiful lady. I loved her dearly and I know she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was the most caring person I have every met. I will always treasure the visits we had. My thoughts and prayers are with Kenneth, Terry Don, Melba, Lauren and Natalie. The angels in Heaven welcomed Lana Beth with open arms.

So sad to hear of the passing of my very dear friend – Lana Beth Washington. She had a very special place in my heart. She faught a good fight and now she is at rest with the Lord. Love Lana Beth Cox
