Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Wesley or Wes, was always known to my family as Pete. Picked up that nick name as a young boy, as I recall. I hunted, fished and rode 4 wheelers with Pete over the past several years. We also spent many days and nights together singing in a gospel quarter, the Fishermen. I have never known a finer friend or man. He cared deeply for all his extended family and will truly be missed.

  2. As I read the email notice I just received, my first thought was how much I did not know about this lovely man! For instance, I didn't know where he was born or that people call him "Pete". But what I do know that he thought donuts were a great breakfast at deer camp! He was loyal, loving and gentle. He was a great singer for our choir and he loved my "first cousin and first best friend" Tashia more than anything in the world and took such good care of her and our family. He was so special. He will be so missed!Love to all,Alishia

  3. I did not know Wes, but I know he was very special in the lives of Jerri and JoAnn. Prayers are with the family.

  7. Wesley and I grew up together. He live across the street. I never had a brother but Wesley was close back then. We shared a lot of good times. And, I have only happy memories of our friendship.

  8. Rest in peace. Good friend, good mason, fantastic employee, and a wonderful dad to his kids, grandkids, and step kids.

  13. Its Monday after Petes funeral that I didnt get to attend and Im still in shock that I will never see his sweet face again. I havent seen Pete in a while but my memories are as clear as ever. He was such a large fiqure in my childhood and beyond. I spent most everyday with Christie. Pete and Judy just always let her take me along with them wherever they went. If it had not been for them allowing me to become part of their family I would never had all the wonderful experiences I had growing up and I wouldnt have had a Grandma and Grandpa (Ma and Pa). All the church trips Pete chaperoned all the family camping trips and family reuniuns. Pete always gave all of himself to everyone and cared deeply for his kids and grandkids. He took us all in and he will be missed sooooo very much. I Love You Pete. Tell Ma and Pa I love them and I will see you all in heaven someday.

  14. My sympathies to Pete Hensleys family and friends: Ecclesiastes 3:12 tells us that 'there is nothing better than to rejoice and do good during ones life': May Almighty Gods loving-kindness comfort you as you celebrate Petes life: Psalm 119:76
