James "Dick" Brown

Funeral services for James Alters Brown, 75, of Pittsburg, will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 29 at Mt. Mitchell Church of Christ with Pastor Joe Rivers officiating. Burial will follow at Reynolds Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation from 5 until 7 Friday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Brown was born January 19, 1939 in Morris County and passed away March 24, 2014 at a Longview rehabilitation facility. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Brown; his parents, Mottie Que and Pettie Mae Brown; one brother, Oliver Brown; and one sister, Argie Evans. He is survived by four daughters, Vickie Fluellen, Lesia Lewis (Curtis), Carla Brown, and Shelundra Santiago (Jonathan); two sisters, Mary Jane Smith and Margaret Brooks; ten grandchildren, Jessica, Troy Jr., Elyse, Lynn, Hubert, Jennifer, Alexis, Marrisa, Ariana, and Alison; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
