Waylon "Skeebo" Allen Smith

Waylon Skeebo Allen Smith, 77, of Queen City passed away Sunday March 9, 2014 at his home. Mr. Smith was born February 3, 1937 in Douglassville,Tx to Drew and Lois Smith. He is retired from Red River Army Depot. Survivors include his wife Carol Smith of Queen City, Tx; four daughters, Sheryl Smith of Linden, Stephanie (Brian) Sims of Atlanta, Sheryl (Michael) Clair of Omaha, Elizabeth Williams of Cass; grandchildren, JamesWaylon Cornett of New Boston, Jessica (Ronnie) Dalrymple of Linden, Brittany Clair of Tyler, Colton and Brooke Clair of Omaha, Seth and Erin Sims of Atlanta, Makenna and Delaney Williams of Cass; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Brooklynne and Brayson Dalrymple of Linden, Colton and Claire Skinner of Tyler; three sisters, Betty Foreman of Linden, JoAnn Jaghab of Dallas, Linda Capps of Texarkana; one brother Winston (Mary) Smith of Linden; In-Laws, Bruce and Katie Calvert of Crane Hill, Al., Joe and Debbie Wallace of Cameron, Tx. He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Jerald Smith and Dugan Smith of Linden, Charles Smith of California and one sister Bennie Mae Riddle of Linden. Services will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday March 12, 2014 in the Chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden with Wayne Shew officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden. There will be a time of visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday March 11, 2014 at the funeral home.

Uncle Skeebo was such a Happy Part of my Childhood.
I'm so sorry for ya'lls loss, my thoughts and prayers are with ya'll.
He will be greatly missed. Life won't be the same, especially the Smith family reunion each fall. But all of those fun-filled memories will live on.
