Arbea Hollins

Mr. Arbea (R.B.) Hollins was born April 9, 1930 to the parents of Mrs. Dovie and Mr. Henry Hollins. He departed this life March 6, 2014. He completed his education at Center Point High School. He married Bobbie Ford and to this union three children was born. He confessed his belief in Christ at Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where he served as Church Secretary and Deacon. He was the last remaining Deacon whose name was on the Cornerstone of the Church. He was employed at Lone Star Steel where he started as a Laborer and later was appointed Foreman for 30 plus years until his retirement in 1982. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Bobbie Hollins; parents, Mrs. Dovie and Mr.Henry Hollins; brother, Mr. Homer Hollins; grand children's, Carla Hollins and Tyrone Hollins. He leaves to cherish his memories, daughter, Linda Walker(Jerry) of Stafford Texas; three sons, Harold Hollins(Darlene) of Bullard, Texas, Kenneth Hollins(Patricia) of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Donald Ray Sublet of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Jewel Veasley and Mrs. Mary Ruth Farmer of Pittsburg, Texas; one aunt, Mrs. Willie Mae Cox of Waco, Texas; fourteen grand children's; thirty one great grand children's, six great great grand children's; in-laws, Eldon and Yvonne Ford and Lonnie and Mozelle Ford; and a host of special cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services for Mr Hollins will be 11:00 a.m. Friday March 14,2014 at Union Chapel Baptist Church in Pittsburg. Burial will follow at Union Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home of Ore City. Mr. Hollins will lie in state from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
