Emit Ray Foster

Graveside services for Mr. Emit Ray Foster, 77, of Hughes Springs will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Hughes Springs Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation from 6 until 7:30 Wednesday evening at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Emit was born June 29, 1936 and passed away February 24, 2014. He retired from Friedman Pipe and Steel after 32 years. He was a veteran of the US Navy and loved working outdoors. He was preceded in death by him mother and father, W.E. and Artie Foster; and his wife JoAnn. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Doug Surratt of Linden; one son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Kim Foster of Hughes Springs; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Tina and Scott Fleming and their daughter, Callie, all of Lexington Kentucky; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Cody and Brandi Surratt and their son Hagan, all of Linden; step grandson, Sean Surratt; three step great-grandchildren, Aaron, Kaylin and Gatlin; step granddaughter, Krishna Wright; and a number of other relatives and friends.
