Sean Yates 35, of Corpus Christi, formerly of Ore City, passed away, Saturday, February 22, 2014 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born June 23, 1978 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by: Grandfather, Ralph Easley, Grandfather, Issac Yates and Grandmother, Mary Yates. Survivors include his mother and step dad; Mary and Gary Dicks of Ore City; a brother, Jamie Yates of Ore City; sisters Kelly Yates of Alexandria, Louisiana and Ashley Alsobrook of Ore City; his father, Freddie Yates of Louisiana; his grandmother, Donna Easley from Shreveport and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members. Services will be Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at New Hope Baptist Church in Ore City with Bro. Tony Pierce officiating with burial to follow at Ore City Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm - 8:00pm Monday, March 3, 2014 at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City.

I started working as an aide at Ore City ISD 29 years ago and Sean was in my class. He was a special person and would call me every so often after he left Ore City. Shane and I will miss him. Many prayers for all family members.
