James Marlin Fox

James Marlin Fox, 83, of Linden passed away February 5, 2014 in a local hospital. Mr. Fox was born April 25, 1930 in Hopkins County, Pickton to Otis B. Fox and Gladys Henderson Fox. He was a graduate of Jefferson High School; active member of his Mens Bible Class at the Linden United Methodist Church; Past President of the U.S.S. Los Angeles CA-135 Association; Past President of The Lions Club in Linden; Past Deputy Grand Master District 5 Grand Lodge of Texas; 60 year member of the Mason Lodge; Past Master of the Masonic Lodge of Linden; member of the Jefferson Masonic Lodge; Past Worthy Patron of Linden O.E.S.; member of the Jefferson O.E.S.; member of Sharon Temple of Mustang Patrol and a member of the Scottish Rites. Survivors include his loving wife of 31 years, Reba Fox of Linden, TX.; one daughter, Lynn Fox of Arlington, TX.; one step son, Mickey Jordan of Willis, TX.; one granddaughter, Kristin Baker (Jeff) of Dallas, TX.; one grandson, Mark Jordan of Arlington, TX.; two great-grandchildren, Sadie and Alexa Baker of Dallas, TX.; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of sweet friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Otis B. and Gladys Henderson Fox; one brother and sister-in-law, Norman O. Fox Sr. and JoAn Fox. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday February 7, 2014 at the Linden United Methodist Church with Bro. Don Phelps and Bro. James McMillan officiating. There will be a time of visitation from 10:00 A.M. till noon Friday at the church prior to the service. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Memory Park Cemetery in Longview, Texas under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I sure wish that Jim and I would have let you wake him up when we visited before Christmas. He was a wonderful man and I'll miss his smile and kind words.
