William Loyd High

Funeral services for William Loyd High, 88, of Hughes Springs, will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Reeder-Davis Chapel. Burial will follow at Hughes Springs Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Mr. High will lie in state from 9 until service time and the family will be present from 10 until noon. Mr. High was born November 4, 1925 in Morris County and passed away December 29, 2013 at a Longview area hospital. He was a WWII veteran and was retired from Lone Star Steel. He is preceded in death by his wife, Melba Jean High; one sister, Gladys Elizabeth Hill; and two brothers, George Washington Bud High and Troy High. Survivors include one son, Danny Lynn High and wife Annie, of Fort Worth; one daughter, Brinda Mandella and husband David, of Grand Prairie; and one brother, Charles Donald High and wife Betty, of Saginaw, Texas.
