Funeral services for Charles Swift, 88, will be held at Reeder-Davis Chapel in Linden on Thursday November 21, 2013, at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at the Linden Cemetery. Visitation will be at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Mr. Swift was born on April 7, 1925, in Clarksville, Arkansas and passed away on November 18, 2013, at his home in Linden. He was preceded in death my his parents and his wife Darathy Swift. Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-laws, Butch and Gail Swift of South Lake, Texas, and Danny and Pam Swift of Longview, Texas; seven grandchildren, Michelle, Melissa, Bryant, Lisa, Celena, Brent, and Tricia; 14 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Swift served in the Army, was a WWII Veteran of the Battle of the Buldge, member of the VFW where he is a Past Commander, member of the DAV and The First Baptist Church of Linden.
