Funeral services for Leonard C. (L.C.) Royal will be 1:00 P.M., Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Rock Island Nondenominational Church in Lone Star with Pastor Eric Simmons, Eulogist and Minister Rickey Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Hughes Springs under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. Mr. Royal was born June 9, 1932 in Avinger and passed away October 27, 2013. He received his education in the Avinger School District and was an employee of Lone Star Steel for many years until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Nancy Royal; his wife Maggie Phene Royal; a grandson Terrance Deion Royal, II, five brothers and six sisters. He is survived by a son Terrance Deion Royal of Longview; three grandchildren Darrian, Shaniqua and Quantasha of Dallas, two great grandchildren De Arjanae and Zakari; two brothers Henry Royal of Naples and James Royal of California. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday evening at the funeral home.
