I met Dede through Carl. She was a nice person and I talked to her on the computer about thee family, live and things in general. I will miss my friend.
You touched many young lives and helped many children find their way through their studies. You and your parents are an inspiration to the strength of faith, hard word work and love.
Playmates & best friendsDede and I became friends in 1st grade and remained friends all our lives. I am a better person for having known her. She taught me to appreciate life and to not worry over the "little things". She used to tell me that our lives are what WE MAKE THEM, not our circumstances. We raced on the playground, argued about who was the smartest (she always was) and she was the reason I got my first paddling from a teacher…I punched Steve Young in the mouth on the playground in 3rd grade because he made some comment about her that I did not like. She was a fiercely loyal friend who was patient and happy most of the time. We shared everything, and talked about everyone! Ha! We played games and listened to music (really loud) every time we spent the night at each other's house. I have wonderful and precious memories of her growing up, from the first time she was able to stand up (EVER- with her new leg braces on) to my wedding day in which she was a member of the wedding party in her red satin dress that Shirley made for her to wear! Dee, you were an inspiration to all who ever met you, I love you, now any always, and I will miss you for the rest of my life. See you in Heaven, and we will race again!
You will be missed Ms. Hill.
